Overview

Becoming Supernatural by Dr. Joe Dispenza is a fascinating book with a different approach to health. Instead of promising health through pills, supplements, or diet, Dispenza believes health all starts in the brain.

Disclaimer: This book won’t be for everyone.

Dispenza’s approach to health and well-being is probably very different than what you’ve learned before. It is a captivating book if you’re open to a different way of thinking and approaching your health and well-being.

Synopsis

The synopsis of the book is, “What would it mean to become supernatural? What if you could tune in to frequencies beyond our material world… change your brain chemistry to access transcendent levels of awareness… create a new future… and transform your very biology to enable profound healing? This is what Dr. Joe Dispenza offers in this revolutionary book: a body of knowledge and a set of tools that allow ordinary people-people just like you-to reach extraordinary states of being… In these pages, you’ll explore: – How to free yourself from the past by reconditioning your body to a new mind – How changing your frequency allows you to create reality in the ‘generous present moment’ – The secret science of the pineal gland and its role in accessing mystical realms of reality – How to shift your awareness beyond the limited, predictable material world and move into the quantum field of infinite possibilities – And much more.”

A Word of Caution

Currently, this book has 13,337 reviews with a 4.8/5 star rating on Amazon. Which is pretty insane!

However, I’m always cautious of books like this that are filled with ‘medical miracles’ because sometimes I feel the content could be too good to be true. It makes me highly suspicious that the truth has been stretched for the author’s own benefit. Especially when the author continues to bring up their workshop or programs they sell… Sometimes it makes me question if the book was actually just a huge ad pamphlet to get me to the author’s seminar. And the more you tell me about your other products when I’m trying to get value out of this one, I get annoyed and start to distrust your current product. Anyone else???

BUT, I don’t hate the book by any means! I actually really enjoyed learning about this new way of thinking.

Conclusion

If you’re still interested in reading this book (which you should be!), I would recommend picking up a physical copy and not going with the audiobook. There are a lot of references to diagrams which makes it hard to follow along.

Also, a physical copy would make it easier to highlight any information you want to look up later. There were many times I thought, “Oh this is really intriguing. I want to look this up later.” and then later would come but I couldn’t remember what it was that I wanted to look up. So if you have a spacey memory like me, a physical copy may save you some aggravation.

This book was incredibly interesting and I plan on getting a physical copy of the book to have on my shelf because I could see myself rereading it. I envision different information will resonate with me when I revisit it.

Have you read Becoming Supernatural or any other book like it? This one kind of reminds me of The Brains Way of Healing by Dr. Norman Doidge. That was another good one that discussed nontraditional approaches to specifically brain health.
